BUETian Alumni Association Alberta (BUETAAA) is a social and professional networking hub of BUET alumni residing in Alberta, Canada. This association is registered under the Societies Act of the Government of Alberta on October 1, 2020. The mission of BUETAA is to serve the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) alumni in Alberta and maintain a strong relationship with BUET at Dhaka, Bangladesh for enhanced cooperation and collaboration.

The Goals and Objectives of BUETAAA are:

• To establish, strengthen and enhance the continued ties with BUET, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

• To strengthen connection and fellowship among the BUET alumni residing in Alberta, Canada by fostering individual growth, well-being, professional development, and networking among the BUETAAA Members and BUETA Community.

• To promote the social, cultural and professional interests of the BUETAAA Community by organizing lectures, career counseling, seminars, symposia, workshops, networking, so on.

• To build commitment and participation of BUETAAA Members in enhancing, promoting and upholding the image and reputation of BUET and BUET alumni in Alberta, Canada as well as in any part in the world.

• To enhance and uphold professional competency among the BUET alumni living in Alberta and other provinces in Canada.

• To provide support to the BUET alumni and their families in distress and to contribute to humanitarian activities, for example fund raising, social media campaigning, etc., as the Executive Committee find appropriate.

• To act as a convener in promoting increased knowledge share among the BUETAAA, BUET in Dhaka, Bangladesh and any other universities and professional institutions, suitable to serve the needs and interests of the BUETAAA Members outside any professional conflict of interest of the BUETAAA Members.

• To arrange social, cultural and professional activities with a view to fostering greater social cohesion and integration, primarily among the BUETAAA Community living in Alberta, Canada.

• To promote and enable the BUETAAA Community on the Canadian Values and Ethics, and their Rights, Obligations and Privileges.

• To contribute together to the process of building a better Canada and to meet up any emergency in our community.
